Initial legal strategy session

For each new or prospective client, Joan Bundy Law offers an initial legal strategy session for $100. During this one-hour session, an attorney listens carefully to assess your legal needs, provides solid legal advice you can use immediately, and develops a plan for getting the results you want. After this session, you decide whether you want to hire us and move forward.

During each of our legal strategy sessions, we cover a lot of ground. Before meeting together, we ask you to complete a short questionnaire that gives us information we need to better understand your legal matter. This enables us to make the best use of your time during our first meeting.

Many law firms advertise free initial consultations. Why don't we? Because often these "consultations" are merely a way of getting you in the door, giving you a sales pitch, and getting you to sign a contract. We believe your time is too valuable for that. Also, we never pressure you or use scare tactics in an effort to get your business. We earn it by delivering value and results.

Lower-cost alternatives

At Joan Bundy Law, we approach each case individually and look for ways to provide the greatest value. Our objective is always to help you achieve the best possible outcome using the most expedient, cost-effective approach.

For simple matters, we may agree to a flat-fee or limited-scope representation. For more complex matters, we may quote a flat fee for certain services or expenses, and an hourly rate for other aspects of the case that are less predictable. Or we may suggest alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law, any of which may be preferable to long, contentious court proceedings. We look for every opportunity to save you money. But we never make unrealistic promises, such as a flat fee for the entire case, that may sacrifice the quality of your representation.
